Marketo Winter Release Hacks

The Washington D.C. Marketo User Group (DC MUG) is going strong with our second meeting of the year in the books – amidst an emergency Metro shutdown (for those of you outside of the metropolitan DC area, “Metro” in this context refers to the Washington Metropolitan Transportation Authority.)  The March MUG meeting focused on Nurture Plan strategies, Marketo Deliverability Best Practices and Marketo Hacks related to the Marketo Winter Release. The Winter 2016 Release was pretty large, so we covered the essentials in three parts.

Tiffany Gourdin from Definitive Results discussed some of the high level points surrounding Part 1 of Marketo’s upgrade to their Munchkin lead tracking. Understanding how the Munchkin Lead Tracking works, and how it is evolving is essential to those who are responsible for managing the Marketo instance, and for those responsible for reporting on web activity. You can also find documentation straight from Marketo on this topic in their Community and in their Winter Release Notes.

Tiffany also walked the group through a few “Hacks” to perform with your Smart Lists inside of Smart Campaigns and inside of certain reports, as it pertains to isolating the Anonymous lead records tracked by your Munchkin code.
