Marketing Automation Strategy for 2016 – Part 1

2016 is quickly approaching! It’s never too early to ensure a successful strategy for your marketing automation tool.  This is part 1 of a 2-part series on how to plan your marketing automation strategy.  The first important element to ensure marketing automation success is leveraging and optimizing the features of your robust tool.

New Feature Rollout

  1. Make a calendar. Focus on what goals you have for each month, as well as the campaign schedule and larger initiatives for the year.
  2. Make a list of features of you tool that you have not used or areas where you can improve your usage.
  3. Once all are listed, start putting the pieces into the months to find the best setup. Don’t take on your most daunting features during your busiest time of year.  You should be trying something new at least every other month.

Following the three step process above will ensure you leverage or improve your usage of at least 6 features by the end of 2016!  That is significant progress to show your execs!
