What an awesome time we had at the POV Lounge at the W in DC! We enjoyed not only a great view of the city skyline on an unseasonably warm evening, but also networking with an excellent crowd! The panel included a diverse set of modern marketers, each with different perspectives on current marketing trends and challenges. Some of our favorite takeaways were:
- Personalization – Quality over quantity, with the focus on generating personalized content for various buying personas by learning what is most relevant to them.
- Consistency – Consumers now expect to have a seamless experience across all channels.
- Data – Actively analyzing and interpreting marketing data should be used to drive future decisions, but is often an overlooked area by marketers when crunched for time.
- Jokes – What’s a nice girl like you doing in a segment like this? Oracle’s got some great ones for those of us who love marketing automation!
Look out for dates for another round of Modern Marketing Mashup events next year. It’s always a great time getting to network with fellow OMC customers and be inspired with takeaways from the most modern of the modern marketing community.
